Growing sunflowers from seed is straightforward, requiring full sun, well-draining soil, and consistent moisture. Sow seeds 1–2 cm deep in pots in March/April (indoors) or directly outside in April/May after the last frost. They thrive in sunny, sheltered spots and need support as they grow.

Protect young seedlings from slugs.
